Painting

An understanding of the materials and methods of a variety of painting traditions forms the basis of William's practice as a teacher and artist. The work shown here includes a variety of mediums and styles for paint application, from building depth through glazing, to a more direct method of paint application.  

Works of his own composition concentrate on the the figure as an expression of narrative, these are composed by piecing together posed and found images.
